On 09/22/2009 I went to an extensive, very good breakfast in the hotel "Sevastopol" to our meeting place in the "Qbar", one of two gay bars in Sebastopol , which is located in the city center. She has a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs and an outdoor bar and a bar inside the building, which can be reached from the garden terrace. As the weather was nice and inviting, I invited my friends from Heidelberg Lothar and the two young Ukrainians to a breakfast. We then gave the baggage in the luggage room of "my" Hotels "Sebastopol", criticizing that my friends had to leave the private apartments. Then we took a bus from Sebastopol also increased, even to a smaller bus and arrived at the former naval base.

The name of the port is Balaklava. went

First it on an old fortress, from which one can view the whole city and the surrounding area from the air: More information on the following link. I myself was not up to the ridge of the mountain because I was wearing the wrong shoes for walking and did not come with all the debris to slide. But the younger ones went up. I drove the Time in the port itself, made some nice photos and met Nazar, The latter did with other bus and had passed the house in Sebastopol to the holder.
My recommendation is to "Genoese" - fortress and then ascend the cave, what were formerly the submarines to visit
then met the small group that had grown to at least 5 men. We walked around the harbor and came to the former nuclear bomb proof U-boat harbor, which was disseminated in a mountain. Now he was open to tourists guide and we all marveled at the many tunnels and passages. The guide was in Russian, of course, but I interpreted one of the boys. I must say that everything was absolutely very interesting. We then took the

Rückbus, got the luggage from the hotel and went to 5 clock to the train to Kiev. The journey took 16 hours and I'll certainly never forget. One can imagine how it feels when you are 16 hours in one of the bumpy trains all night shaken. I think we had a look at my anger and so I was then dismissed with a pretty young Ukrainians first Class compartment to. There was then some extent, and the ride was then still quite beautiful.

I recommend any of the Simferopol www.wizzair.com to Kiev to fly. There are new Boeing 737 aircraft with comfortable Leather chairs.

Here the cost of the flight (an example):

= Total price 11.52 EUR

The first train Class on the other hand costs about 18 €. It is probably an adventure by train through the Ukrainian night live, but there are other experiences that are not quite as stressful.

After I looked at extensively, the city of Simferopol and in the evening wandered into the boulevard and the fireworks, that spilled over the city, admired, I went the next morning to the bus station to one of the many buses, which run every fifteen minutes to drive to Sebastopol. The drive took only 90 minutes and cost in pre-reserved seats and luggage about 2 €. Arriving at the bus station, I had in the city, but how? Taxis HOTEL understand the word, not even the word CENTER no matter what the western languages speak it. I was told later that the word appeared Hotel 5 years ago for the first time and it is pointless to talk to people. So, the language of Scripture is in connection with a seemingly insurmountable obstacle for anyone who comes out of the Schengen area or from other parts of the world are not Russian-speaking. So I took any bus, hoping to come to the center. Which was just as I suspected and I got out and looked for a building that looked like a hotel. I came across probably the best place in the SEBASTOPO could and actually check. There, they spoke at the reception quite good English. Now, could start the discovery, after I paid 40 euros for a single room with a credit card.

Sebastopol is located in the extreme southwest of the Crimean peninsula and spread to an area of about 864 km ² around 38 bays, including the bays even 1000 square km. Its biggest, the Bay of Sebastopo l (Sewastopolskaja Buchta), divides the city into a northern and a southern half. On the latter, the center of the city over several hills. The huge territory of Sebastopol â € "in length and width up to 50 kilometers in size â €" is the area of Moscow, New York or Shanghai. By comparison, Zurich or Paris are respectively 91.9 105.4 km ² around ten times smaller than Sebastopol.

Air
The climate of Sebastopol is near subtropical . The south coast is protected by the Crimean mountains from the intrusion of cold air masses from the north, the air is dry. The annual rainfall is 500 to 700 millimeters.
rise in summer temperatures to 40 degrees, but are tempered by a slight breeze â € "during the day coming from the sea, at night in the opposite direction. In winter, temperatures hover between -2 and +7 degrees Celsius. In the winter months it is on the Black Sea coast to ice formation, Sebastopol is in contrast to other year-round ice-free ports in the Ukraine.

Sebastopol or Sevastopol is a very interesting town situated on the Black Sea, which œ â € Russians and Ukrainians obviously žteilenâ €. The language spoken there is predominantly Russian. The city is very well maintained and is actually a resort town for wealthy Russians and other travels to the east. Western tourists are rarely encountered. I for one did not meet anyone. After I was with my Ukrainian friends until the next morning for breakfast in a gay restaurant (Qbar) directly arranged in the center of Sebastopol, I made my own journey of discovery. My friends spent the day in nearby Yalta, the famous Jaltakonferenz by the end of the 2nd World War II has made a name for himself. The area around Yalta must be very nice for hiking and exploring all kinds

Yalta (Ukrainian and Russian Ð ° Ð »Ñ, Ð °; Yalta Crimean Tatar; Armenian Õ ... Õ ¡Õ ¬ Õ ¡Õ ¿) is a Health - and Urlaubsor t on the southern coast of the peninsula Crimea in the Black Sea in Ukraine .
Population: 80,000

But romp to Yalta more on my next visit in 2010

in Sebastopol is a lot seafarers, especially cadets in their neat uniforms, have the shore. Also, you meet nice men, mostly very young, also serve their military service. But you get to many retirees who enjoy the mild climate, inviting parks, opera, theater, public demonstrations and music, everything that belongs to a spa. The town is neat, I have encountered in the Ukraine and is evident in every corner of something new and interesting. Boys who perform their acrobatics on a bike or inline skates, people who board the ferries and harbor cruises, make the markets with food who is worthy of the fertile land, Cafes, Restaurants and even a McDonalds in the city center.

For me, a city of Sebastopol and retired Marines, well maintained and some for wealthy people who want to enjoy their holidays with good climate and in peace. However, very often a breeze blowing from the sea. Who has the time should look at Sebastopol necessarily, but preferably with a multilingual guides, preferably a young man between 18 and 25 of fun because people from the West to show his city.
